About the project

Studio AM is a hair salon founded by stylist, Alyssa Murtha. Alyssa was new to the Sioux Falls area and came to me in need of a revitalized brand and new website that represented her brand and increased appointment bookings.

The problem

New to Sioux Falls and No Online Presence

Formerly working at a salon in Mitchell, South Dakota, Alyssa was starting her own salon with a small book of clients and no website. Her only means of generating leads and booking new clients was from her existing Facebook page. She wanted to have a brand that aligned with the aesthetic of her studio space and a premium website that made potential clients excited to book with her.

The solution

Refreshed Brand & Premium Website with a Logic-Based Custom Appointment Form

Despite being a younger hair stylist, her goal was to have a brand and online presence that exuded experience and premium quality service. I accomplished this by creating a minimal brand identity that included premium fonts, mauve color selections, and tasteful inclusions of green to mimic her salon's interior design. This same approach was taken when designing her website. The primary goal of increasing appointment bookings was accomplished by strategically placing "Book Appointment" CTA buttons throughout her site and building a dynamic, logic-based appointment questionnaire in TypeForm. This provided a personalized experience for the user when booking an appointment and gave Alyssa all necessary information from the client before needing to follow up.
