Springs Culture Kombucha

Brand Identity + Photography

Overview

About the project

Springs Culture Kombucha is a craft kombucha brewery based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado. I worked with Springs Culture to create a brand identity and take brand photos.

My Role
Brand identity and photography
The problem

New to the local scene

Springs Culture Kombucha needed a brand identity that would clearly establish itself as a local staple in the Colorado Springs community - the place where the owner, Janie Otero, has called home for over 40 years.

The solution

Easily recognizable brand identity

The logo concept was intended to resemble the iconic Colorado license plate with its white mountains, green background color, and bold primary font. The name Springs Culture Kombucha is a play on words with "Culture" being a term that refers to the live yeast culture used to brew the sparkling fermented tea beverage. By adding "Springs" to Springs Culture communicates its establishment in Colorado Springs and Janie's goal to becocme an integral part of the Colorado Springs local culture.

The result

Booming business and local best award

Since starting with one account in 2019, Springs Culture has since expanded to distributing its product in bottles and on tap at 15 locations throughout Colorado Springs and Denver. Janie has tripled her annual kombucha production and in 2020 received the Local Best award - Expert's Choice by the Colorado Springs' publication, The Independent. Janie's goal is to continue growing and soon expand to distributing her kombucha in cans.
